The TSC TE300 can print in two modes – Direct Thermal and Thermal Transfer.
In Direct Thermal mode, the heat generated by the printhead reacts with the heat-sensitive media to create the printed image. This method is ideal for temporary applications like shipping labels or boarding passes, as it doesn’t require a ribbon.
In Thermal Transfer mode, the heat from the printhead melts a wax or resin-based ribbon. The melted material is then transferred to the label, creating durable prints.
